Beginner Machine Sewing Help
Or: Why is my sewing machine doing that?
Service Description
When you first start machine sewing, your machine often does things you don't understand. Rather than get frustrated and give up, let Bloom Sewing help! This service is for modern, domestic sewing machines only. Available either in-person at my Bloom Sewing Studio in Winchester, VA, or virtually via Google Meet. You show me what's wrong, and I (Julie) try to help. Sometimes it's a quick fix. If it's going to take longer than 20 minutes, you can pay me for additional time. If I can't diagnose the issue, I'll refund your money. You can book a slot through this page, or send me a text or email (julie.napear@gmail.com) if you want to see if I have more immediate availability. Just know that I'm a night owl and am unlikely to answer morning inquiries. In-person lessons will be at the Bloom Sewing Studio in Winchester, VA, unless otherwise arranged. Unfortunately, the entrance is down a large flight of concrete stairs and is not wheelchair-accessible. Please contact Julie at julie.napear@gmail.com for mobility-friendly alternative options. Wearing a high-quality mask (KN95 or better) is required for in-person help to make the class safe and accessible to all, and masks are provided free of charge. See https://www.bloomsewing.com/why-mask for more info.
