One-on-one instruction is for everything beyond the absolute beginner lesson. In addition to the knowledge you'll gain from instruction with Bloom Sewing's creator, Julie, you'll have access to: -Brother CS6000i sewing machines -Sewing notions (scissors, thread, needles, tape, purple thang, bodkin... the list goes on) -A cutting station (fabric scissors, rulers, a rotary cutter and mat) -EuroPro iron and ironing board for pressing -Epson Brightlink 685WI for projector sewing -Canon Printer for PDF printed patterns -Brother 1034D serger for sewing knits or finishing seams -Interfacing, elastic, zippers, wash-away tape, and small cuts of woven fabric are all available for purchase. Generally, you'll need to purchase fabric on your own, but I will help guide you to the right type! Lesson will be at 131 S. Cameron St., Winchester, VA 22601, unless otherwise arranged. Wearing a high-quality mask (KN95 or better) is required to make the class safe and accessible to all, and masks are provided free of charge. Wheelchair accessible. NOTE FOR MINORS: Children 7+ are welcome, but minors must be accompanied by an adult, per the rules of the space I rent (from the Boy Scouts of America). There is plenty of room for the adults to sit and work/read/etc. The instructor (Julie) passed a background check to work with children in 2024 (performed for the City of Winchester).
